Payment & Refund Policy

1. Payment Methods

All payments on TurboTalkers are processed securely through Iyzico, a PCI DSS compliant payment provider. We accept credit and debit cards. Your card information is entered directly on Iyzico's secure checkout form — TurboTalkers never stores your card details.

2. Lesson Packages

Lessons are purchased in packages. Available package sizes and pricing are displayed on each teacher's profile page. Package options include:

• Trial lesson — a single 25-minute introductory lesson at a discounted rate (one per teacher).
• Standard packages — 6, 12, 20, or 40 lessons with volume discounts applied to larger packages.

Purchased lessons are added to your balance for the specific teacher and can be used to book lessons at any available time on their schedule.

3. Pricing

• Prices are set individually by each teacher and displayed on their profile in USD.
• Turkish users may also pay in TRY at the current exchange rate.
• Larger packages receive volume discounts (up to 10% off).
• All prices include applicable taxes and platform fees.

4. Lesson Durations

• 25-minute lesson — uses 0.5 lesson credits.
• 50-minute lesson — uses 1.0 lesson credits.

5. Cancellation Policy

• Students and teachers can cancel a lesson up to 6 hours before it starts. The lesson credit returns to your balance, and you can book another time.
• In the last 6 hours before a lesson, it can no longer be cancelled or rescheduled.
• If your teacher can't make it or doesn't show up, the lesson credit always returns to your balance. Report it in the app or write to info@turbotalkers.com.

6. Rescheduling

Students and teachers can move a lesson to another free time up to 6 hours before it starts. The lesson keeps its credit.

7. How long your lessons last

Every package has an expiry date, counted from the day you buy it:

• Trial lesson and 6-lesson package: 3 months
• 12-lesson package: 6 months
• 20-lesson package: 9 months
• 40-lesson package: 12 months

You'll see the date before you pay, and next to your balance in the app. We'll also email you 30 days and 7 days before it.

Lessons still unbooked on the expiry date expire. Lessons you've already booked by then stay booked. If one of them is cancelled after the expiry date, its credit doesn't come back. If your teacher cancelled it, write to us and we'll sort it out.

Packages bought before October 6, 2026 count from October 6, 2026.

8. Refunds

• If you'd like your money back for lessons you haven't used, write to info@turbotalkers.com before your package expires.
• We look at each request on its own. Lessons you've already taken aren't refunded.
• Approved refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Iyzico.

9. Teacher Payments

Teachers receive payment for completed lessons. Teacher earnings are calculated based on completed lesson credits. Teachers can request withdrawals of their earned balance through the platform.

10. Disputes

If you experience any issues with a lesson (teacher no-show, technical problems, quality concerns), please contact us within 48 hours at info@turbotalkers.com. We will investigate and may issue a credit or refund at our discretion.
